Ive installed fc11 on my laptop (IBM lenovo R400). My work has a proxy which we must go through. I have set the proxy addresses in System Settings->Network Settings-> proxy. I have also run export http_proxy=http://username:password@ip:port. All seems to be ok, yum works from the command line, konquer goes out to the net just fine. However firefox wont connect to the internet no matter. The only way at the moment is to manually set the proxy in firefox.
This doesnt seem right? Surely FF should pick up the system proxy? Does anyone have any ideas about this one? Read more at: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=224030&goto=newpost. |
